About Dr. John

Dr. John: The Rock Hall of Famer and New Orleans Legend

Few musicians embody the spirit of New Orleans like funk and blues legend Dr. John ("Right Place, Wrong Time"). A Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and six-time Grammy Award winner, Malcolm John "Mac" Rebennack, aka Dr. John, draws on musical influences ranging from rock to blues to zydeco and boogie woogie to create his own unique style. A singer-songwriter, pianist and guitarist, Dr. John's most recent tours have taken him to sold-out shows throughout the U.S. and Europe, and now to the Los Angeles area at The Canyon. With almost 60 years in the music business, he's sharper than ever. His last two releases, 2012's acclaimed "Locked Down" and 2014's funky tribute to Louis Armstrong, "Ske-Dat-De-Dat ... The Spirit of Satch", show "the Night Tripper" at the top of his game.
