Part Time Punks

Grave Babies consider the human condition and then shove it down your throat. For just over two years, Seattle's Grave Babies have been reverberating shimmery pop songs in the likes of Jesus and Mary Chain, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, The Smiths, and The Cure, blazed with an element of horror and beauty only reality can provide. Driving guitar riffs, weirdo synth and slamming drums drive the point home every time. After gaining local support as well as national and international attention Grave Babies saw an influx in UK press, including features by VICE magazine and NME ("band to watch").

Grave Babies' first single, "Gouge Your Eyes Out," was released by Danish label Skrot Up in the spring of 2010. The band has since toured the west coast twice, and recently performed at SXSW 2011. After much demand, Skrot Up released the first Grave Babies full length, DEATHFACE, in March 2011. The album is a shiny pop adventure through the realm of human tragedy and hopelessness. Grave Babies assure you there is no god, no future, no you, no me. Kill yourself with a smile on your face; this ride will not last forever.

Screature lumbers along its own shadowy path, a chimera stitched together from post-punk, '67-era garage psych and early goth. Themes of the paranormal and life gone seriously awry permeate the songs. There are no happy endings—just endings. Formed by four friends in the summer of 2011, Screature is a dark psych band based in Sacramento, California. Their self-titled debut was recorded and mixed by Chris Woodhouse at the Hangar Studios in November 2012. The LP is self released on the band's own imprint, Ethel Scull Records.


Loto Ball is a stage performer known for his visceral presence and moving, beautiful and unsettling songwriting. Loto Ball (vocals, trumpet, keys) is a veteran of punk bands and art rock groups i.e. the Phantom Limbs, Mucca Pazza, and the BoyScouts of Annihilation.

Described by Jello Biafra as "one of the most talented and demented front-creatures in all of underground rock," Loto is known for bringing more to the table than just singing. Along with a dark sense of the absurd, Loto Ball imbues his performances with a very Artaud-esque sense of theatre that has left a lasting mark on audiences all over the world.
