About "Verdigris"

"Verdigris": Compelling Small Town Drama by "Deadwood"'s Jim Beaver

Paralyzed and nearly blind, Margaret Fielding's entire adult life has been confined to a wheelchair. But severe physical limitations haven't stopped Margaret from throwing the lives of a half-dozen people into the air and twirling them like saucers in a circus act. Named after the greenish corrosion that forms on brass and bronze -- beautiful, yet destructive -- "Verdigris" is a compelling, character-driven drama set in a small Oklahoma town. It's been a longtime passion project of TV and film star Jim Beaver (best known for his leading roles on "Deadwood", "Supernatural" and "Justified"), who first staged a critically-acclaimed workshop production at Theatre West in 1985, and co-stars in this 30th anniversary production.
