The weather in Los Angeles isn’t the only thing heating up this summer. Some of the biggest names in music are stopping in LA during summer tours. Everyone from heartthrob teen sensations to rock legends and hip hop royalty are making appearances this year.

Here are the top shows on our list.

July 18th: Alabama Shakes
South rock group the Alabama Shakes broke out on the scene in 2009 and quickly gained a large following with their debut LP Boys & Girls, which even earned the band a Grammy nomination. Their summer tour stops at the Hollywood Palladium July 18th. Alabama Shakes Tickets

July 23rd: The Postal Service
The Postal Service is back promoting the 10-year anniversary and rerelease of their album Give Up. Although widely speculated that the band members would not collaborate on future projects, instead focusing on individual music projects (including Death Cab for Cutie), they announced concert dates throughout the U.S. including two shows at the Greek Theatre on July 23 and 24th.

July 28th: Justin Timberlake / Jay-Z “Legends of the Summer” Tour
Justin Timberlake yet again struck music gold with his latest hit “Suit and Tie,” the first single we’ve heard from him in six years. He hits the road with Jay-Z, who released his highly anticipated new album Magna Carta Holy Grail in July. Fans should expect a lot from this musical power-duo including collaborations and, of course, live versions of Justin’s latest album: The 20/20 Experience. Justin and Jay will be hitting Los Angeles July 28th at the Rose Bowl.

August 3rd: Sunset Strip Music Festival
Linkin Park headlines this year’s music blowout on the Sunset Strip with Awolnation, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Finch and more. With two stages in the middle of the closed off Sunset Boulevard as well as bands playing live in famous clubs along the strip including The Roxy, House of Blues and Whiskey A Go-Go, this all day festival is a highlight of the summer concert season every year.

August 5th: Phish Summer 2013 Tour
Phish, always known for epic live shows, delighted fans with news that they will be touring again this summer. The band hits Hollywood Bowl on August 5th.

August 7-10: One Direction Tour 2013
Rivaling the almighty Bieber himself, One Direction is causing many teen hearts to flutter. This British-Irish boy band consists of former X-factor tryouts is one of the hottest groups out on the boy-band scene and with four nights booked at the Staples Center, August 7-10.

August 19-24: Taylor Swift “Red” Tour
Topping the charts with hits like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble,” Taylor Swift’s Red Album sold more than 1 million copies in the first week of release and tickets to her tour followed selling quickly to her devoted fan base. Taylor is stopping by the Staples Center in for four shows  August 19th, 20th, 23rd, and 24th.

August 22-23: Heart “Heartbreaker” Tour
Rock legends and female power group Heart is taking the stage this summer playing their major hits in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre for two shows August 22-23.

August 27-28: Alt-J
Alt-J has been heating up the music charts and radio stations with hits including “Breezeblocks” and “Fitzpleasure” from their debut album An Awesome Wave. Their summer tour is set to be full of psychedelic and experimental musical experience, stopping August 27-28 at the Hollywood Palladium.

August 24th, 25th: FYF Festival
Commonly seen as second only to Coachella in Southern California, the FYF fest or (F*ck Yea Festival) celebrates indie and mainstream bands two days of muisc. Notable bands headlining this year’s festival include MGMT, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, My Bloody Valentine and Flag. The FYF festival hits The LA State Historic Park August on August 24-25.

August 27-28: The Lumineers
The Lumineers’ upbeat folk rock has taken over the music industry and Top 40 radio stations. their debut self-titled album was nominated for a Grammy and has since gone platinum. They are playing two shows at the Greek Theatre this summer August 27-28.

September 28th: Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode has been rocking stadiums and arenas since 1980 and has sold 100 million albums worldwide. Their electronic synth pop power ballads make them one of the most successful bands in music history. Their world tour launches in Europe and makes a stop in Los Angeles at the Staples Center on September 28.

September 29th, 30th: Arctic Monkeys
Previously making waves at some of the biggest music festivals, including Coachella, Arctic Monkeys are stepping out on their own, playing the latest music from their 2013 album release, Suck It and See. The band performs at the Wiltern on September 29-30.
