If LA seemed a bit quieter last week, it’s because most bands, publicist, label reps, marketers and just about everyone else involved with the music industry was populating Austin’s bars and venues for SXSW.
LosAngeles.com editor Matt Crawford was there to catch emerging bands and festival highlights, which included a surprise performance from Prince (sorry, no photos), four days of partying at Vice Magazine’s Viceland compound and an all-star show with Dave Grohl and special guests Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty and more.
