After a multimillion dollar facelift, the modernized Santa Anita Park horse racing track in Arcadia hosts its first-ever California Wine Festival on January 25, an afternoon filled with horse racing, California wines from over 40 wineries and food from the park’s collection of new eateries.

Each ticket guarantees samples of local wine, craft beers and dishes from the upgraded menu, which now features a noodle bar. Guests can try wines from vineyards in the central and northern California wine countries, including the Rhone varietals on Zaca Mesa’s Santa Ynez vineyard and the “new world” Pinot Noirs of Sonoma’s Garnet Vineyards. Favorite wines can be ordered on-site and picked up later at Red, White and Bluezz in Old Town Pasadena.

Taking place in conjunction with the Sunshine Millions California Cup, the wine festival combines thoroughbred horse racing from the best steeds in the state with the backdrop of the breathtaking San Gabriel Mountains.
