Lisa Loomer's Dark Urban Fairy Tale "Homefree"

North Hollywood's Road Theatre presents the world premiere of renowned playwright Lisa Loomer's "Homefree", a dark urban fairy tale about three cast-out teens and the flip side of the American dream. Franklin, Breezy and JJ have been kicked out for being gay, for being pretty, or for being nuts. The threesome begin their journey in a conservative Oregon town, where grandma's house is a meth house, the best bed's a freeway underpass and the safest place you can wander is the mall. When tragedy hits, they travel to another version America, an idyllic liberal town right smack dab in the middle of the forest. But is there shelter here, or are they better off finding home in each other? And, when push comes to shove -- as it always does -- is "each other" enough?
