About "Same Time, Next Year"

Touching Romantic Comedy "Same Time, Next Year"

A hit for the four years it ran on Broadway, "Same Time, Next Year" is the story of a New Jersey man and a California woman, both married to others, who carry out an affair for just one single day every year. Over the course of the ensuing quarter-century, what began as a fling develops into a uniquely deep connection that's filled with love, loss, joy, conflict and -- most of all -- friendship, as they bring each other up to date on their lives each year. Winner of the Drama Desk Award and nominated for the Tony for Best Play, this romantic comedy by the creator of "The Partridge Family" originally starred Charles Grodin and Ellen Burstyn, and was later made into an Oscar-nominated film. Now it comes to the stage of San Clemente's Cabrillo Playhouse.
