Located near the holiday season’s best attractions, several hotels provide a place to relax after a long day of shopping, sightseeing and visiting with friends and family.

Filled with all of the creature comforts a family can need, these hotels will serve as a home away from home for the holidays.

The Queen Mary
1126 Queens Highway, Long Beach

When winter comes around, the dome adjacent to the Queen Mary gets transformed into a winter wonderland. There’s no end to the fun to be had, from the 25-foot ice sculptures and ice tubing to the quaint North Pole Village and Holiday Forest. Even though the temperature in the Ice Kingdom drop to a chilly 9 degrees, the rooms on the ship are furnished with comforting touches such as wood paneling and cozy sofas that are sure to warm visitors right up.

The Georgian Hotel
1415 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica

Vintage Hollywood elegance meets art deco styling at the Georgian Hotel. The hotel is located steps away from the Winterlit Holiday Celebration at Third Street Promenade and the holiday parties on Main Street, so guests can get equal doses of festive fun and beachside relaxation.

W Hotel
930 Hilgard Ave, Los Angeles

In the summer, the rooftop pool at the W Hotel is a hot spot for sunbathers. For the holidays, that same pool gets frozen into a hybrid ice rink. Guests can sip warming cocktails, skate around the rink and listen to holiday tunes, all under the sparkling lights of the LA skyline.

Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
115 S. Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles

Every night leading up to Christmas, there is a snowfall show at The Grove in Beverly Hills. Coupled with the charming Santa’s Cottage and towering tree covered with lights and ornaments, the nightly snowfall creates a magically romantic atmosphere for dinner, shopping and entertainment. Get close to the holiday action at The Grove by staying at the Farmer’s Daughter Hotel across the street. The hotel is cozy and hospitable, featuring country chic décor and homey touches like complimentary spiced apple cider.

Topanga Canyon Inn Bed and Breakfast
20310 Callon Dr, Topanga

Escape from the busy city life and hectic holiday shopping to relax in the hidden hills of Topanga. Located a short drive away from the beach, the Topanga Canyon Inn Bed and Breakfast offers a romantic getaway with panoramic views of the tree-speckled mountaintops. One of the most festive holiday attractions in the area includes Candy Cane Lane, a small neighborhood in Woodland Hills filled with colorfully lit and decorated homes.

The BLVD
10730 Ventura Blvd, Studio City

During the holidays, Universal Studios Hollywood comes to life as Whoville from the popular film, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Even if guests aren’t planning on visiting the theme park, they can still take a stroll through the adjoining CityWalk that hosts live shows and a snowfall every night. Luckily for visitors, the BLVD is a far better rest stop than the Bates Motel; the on-site spa and café offer killer ways to relax and get pampered that everyone can appreciate.

Figueroa Hotel
939 S. Figueroa St, Los Angeles

It may be in LA, but the Figueroa Hotel is worlds away. Decorated in the rich hues and ornate details of Arabian cultures, the Fig seamlessly blends the old world with modern accents. The hotel is located in the holiday hub of downtown LA, right around the corner from L.A. Live’s Christmas tree and ice skating rink. Because of its proximity to popular attractions, guests can play all day in the city and fall asleep in Morocco.

Millennium Biltmore Hotel
506 S. Grand Ave, Los Angeles

Within walking distance of downtown LA’s holiday attractions, including the ice skating rink in Pershing Square, the Biltmore Hotel is one of the city’s most historic hotels. When it was first built in 1923 by the same firm that designed the Waldorf Astoria, it was highly acclaimed as the largest hotel in the west. The hotel has been featured in dozens of films and television shows, including Chinatown, Ocean’s Eleven and Beverly Hills 90210, so guests can soak in the rich history of the entertainment business while they admire the classic Spanish-Italian Renaissance style of the building’s interior.

Hotel Le Reve
3321 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena

High-end shopping, the Rose Parade, gourmet dining and lush gardens—Pasadena has it all. The lobby of the Hotel Le Reve has a BYOB policy and was decorated in a modern French style by HGTV Star contestant Julie Khuu. Nearby, guests can shop for gifts at the unique boutiques, take a holiday tour of Castle Green, or volunteer to decorate the floats for the New Year.
