Blithe Spirit

Angela Lansbury and "Downton Abbey"'s Charles Edwards in Noël Coward Comedy "Blithe Spirit"

Broadway, film and TV legend Angela Lansbury ("Murder, She Wrote") returns to her Tony-winning role as Madame Arcati in this blockbuster revival of Noël Coward comedy "Blithe Spirit", alongside "Downton Abbey"'s Charles Edwards. Novelist Charles Condomine (Edwards) invites medium Madame Arcati (Lansbury) to his house for a séance as research for his latest novel. But Arcati unwittingly summons the ghost of Charles' dead wife, Elvira -- much to the chagrin of his current wife. Now Charles is caught in the middle of a contentious love triangle from beyond the grave. Hot on the heels of hit runs on Broadway and London's West End, this revival by Tony-winning director Michael Blakemore ("Kiss Me, Kate") has been called "gob-smackingly brilliant" ("Daily Express").
