Distinct shops line each hill, offering up everything from antique toys to books on Hinduism, candles, incense, and vintage clothing. Beautiful houses line many of the main roads, their size and design a real estate agent's dream. Bike riding through those streets can be both an intense workout and a sightseer's tour de force. After long days at the beach, the sounds of summer are often reflected in the tunes of the visiting musicians newly arrived for the town's summer concert series by the pier.
