ALGO-RHYTHMS EXHIBITION AT SONOS STUDIO

The Algo-Rhythms Exhibition is now open at Sonos Studio through August 19! Software is transforming the way we experience music. New technologies allow us to hear, see, and feel music like never before. With the Algo-Rhythms exhibition, Sonos brings together artists and musicians who have redefined how software can be used as a medium. The artworks and installations are combined with a series of public programs featuring developers, creative coders, and more who show how software connects us with the music we love.

Sonos Studio is open to the public Wed.-Sun., 12-6pm, and this month, guests can visit to check out the Algo-Rhythms Exhibition, enjoy a cup of joe from the gourmet coffee bar, and check out a skateboard from the skateboard lending library. In a first for Sonos Studio, guests begin their journey through the exhibition before ever entering the gallery through the Studio’s windows. It is there that “LANscapes” by Floating Point Collective will engage nighttime visitors and passersby approach the windows of the studio. Kinect sensors will track their physical presence resulting in an audio/visual recording that is captured and rendered into land and soundscapes every 2 minutes.
