Based on interviews conducted with women from all over the world, Eve Ensler's award-winning play "The Vagina Monologues" is a hilarious and deeply poignant collection of stories that gives voice to a chorus of common experiences and feelings once considered taboo. The three-woman show, helmed by a rotating cast of female celebrities during its acclaimed off-Broadway run, manages to be feminist without being man-hating, entertaining without being trite, and political without being offensive. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Peace Over Violence, benefiting battered women and children in Los Angeles.
